Car riders will enter and exit using the main entrance and will gain access via the car rider loop.  The car rider loop is designed to accommodate double lane traffic until vehicles reach the merge point near the corner of the building.  At this point to gain access to the drop off and pick up line vehicles should alternate right lane then left lane.

• Students may be dropped off starting at 6:45 AM.  They may not be dropped off prior to this and a staff member MUST be preset for your child to be dropped off at any time.   

• School begins at 7:25.  There is a five minute grace period for late arrivals.  Students will be marked tardy if they are not in the building prior to 7:30 AM.  At 7:25 AM, the front gates will close.  Any vehicles beyond this point will be asked to wait  for the gates to open and then will be instructed to pull forward to stop, park, and sign your children in at the front office. 

• If you are the first unloaded car in the car line, pull all the way up, past the front entrance, to the flagpole. 

• Unloading occurs between the flag pole and the sign indicating the beginning of drop off.  Staff members may ask you to unload prior to this sign if staff is available for safe supervision.  

• If your child is able to exit the car by themselves, please encourage them to do so.  If not, car rider staff will assist as needed.  

• To avoid delays, make sure students are seated on the right side of the car and that they have all of their supplies easily available.  

• PASSING is NOT permitted in the carpool line.  

• If you need to park or enter the building for ANY reason, please use the visitor parking lot.  We do not allow parents to walk their children to the door or classroom.  You may not leave your vehicle while lined up for pick up or drop off.  You are also not allowed to drop students off in the parking lot under any circumstance.  This is for safety purposes.  

• School issued pick up permits from the current year  MUST be displayed during afternoon car line.  If you do not have your school issued permit, you will be asked to park and sign your child out in the front office using your ID.

• Do not begin lining up in the car loop until 1:30 PM. 

• Form two lanes until you reach the merge point, then zipper merge into a single file line and remain in a single file line until you have passed the crosswalk.

• DO NOT pass stopped vehicles in the loading zone unless directed to do so by car rider staff.    

• Stop at the break in the sidewalk even with the playground until a car rider staff member waves you forward. 

• Pull up to the numbered cones once your child’s name has been called by a car rider staff member.

• The loading zone of the afternoon car line runs from the crosswalk to the end of the sidewalk.  

• The afternoon car line begins dismissing students around 1:45 pm.  

• Students who are car riders MUST be picked up by 2:20 pm or childcare rates will apply.
