emBrace Each Other-Murdock Orthodontics
Bullying is a nationwide epidemic that over 3.2 million students report being victims of each year. This means that almost every kid in school knows someone who has been bullied or is even the bully themselves. Unfortunately this week we have seen the potentially dangerous effects of bullying in the Charleston area with the death of a young lady at an elementary school.
The Murdock Orthodontics Team wants to help everyone see why it’s important to “emBrace Each Other”. “emBrace Each Other” is our anti-bullying initiative aimed to build a network of young ambassadors that spread positivity and educate their peers on the importance of embracing others.
This Spring, we will award FREE orthodontic treatment to 3 chosen applicants who share their story of overcoming a bullying-related struggle and have made a positive impact for themselves or others. These students will receive treatment free of charge from Murdock Orthodontics and become a part of our team of young do-gooders in the community that help their peers learn more about why it’s important for people to “emBrace Each Other”.
This first “emBrace Each Other” initiative will be for students in the Lancaster and Union county areas who submit the best essay. The first 200 participants will also receive a Murdock Orthodontic’s “emBrace Each Other” tee shirt!! The contest will run from April 1st through April 19th.
