Due to the threat of inclement weather, Lancaster County School District has designated Tuesday, January 9, 2024, as an E-Learning Day for all schools and offices. There will not be any afterschool activities on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Again, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, will be an E-Learning Day for all employees and students. This is over safety concerns of the potential for severe weather in our area. Based on weather guidance, we could experience heavy rainfall, flash flooding, damaging winds, and the possibility of tornadoes. The latest weather predictions show parts of our county getting winds of up to 30 mph with wind gusts exceeding 40 mph. If this comes to fruition, we will face dangers operating school buses and in transportation in general. We will continue to monitor the weather and take any necessary safety precautions as warranted to keep our students safe. For more specifics for your student, your student’s teacher and school will send more information. This early notice will allow everyone to make the necessary arrangements for tomorrow. We will continue to monitor the weather, and we will keep you informed through Remind texts and the district website. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. As always, keeping our students and staff safe is our number one priority.

Some of the ILHS Basketball team came out this morning to help with our car rider line! Our tiny Tomahawks were in awe of how tall they are! 🤣
They are having a stellar start to their season! JV & Freshman teams play at 6:15pm and Varsity at 7:30pm TONIGHT all at HOME! Go out and support our Warrior Family!
Ms. Martins' Third Grade Eagles created holiday cards for soldiers who are currently deployed and will be spending the holidays away from their families. They each also wrote a letter to accompany their cards!
The soldiers serve under the nephew of Ms. Martins. Her nephew said he is sure all of his men will enjoy reading the cards and letters.
This gives us all the feels! 💙💛

"I am so inspired by how cool, calm and collected he always seems to be. My students look forward to going to music every week and count down the days before his class. He has done so much work to bring arts and music experiences to Harrisburg and beyond. Between coordinating the fall festival, caroling songs, and bringing new dance and readers theatre curriculum to our school, I wish that I were able to have him as my music teacher when I was a kiddo! Mr. Ryder is one cool cat and Harrisburg would not be the same without him."

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has NOTHING on our First Grade Tomahawks!
Check out First Grade's Balloons on Broadway! Students designed their own balloons and then were able to parade them through the hall to show them off!
Creative, smart, and adorable are just three ways to describe our first graders!
Our Second Grade Tomahawks were able to visit Anne Springs to further learn about Matter! It was an extension on their science unit on solids, liquids, and gasses! The students made hypotheses about how much different objects weighed. They used a scale to actually weight them!
It was a super cool & hands on field trip!
Ms. Cundiff's Kindergarten Class read the book Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert. They then took a nature walk to find the perfect leaves to make their very own leaf man/animal!
